“A warm and friendly welcome.

In 1999 we decided on a whim to come and look at a small country Inn in the North Yorkshire Moors based on a photograph of the area with its stunning views.

We moved from London life to Country life 10 weeks later.

What a fascinating time we have had since then ! We call our life in Hawnby a journey as its always ongoing meeting new people and different situations arising. Dave originally from Ontario Canada has always worked in catering. Kath used to be an aero medical Intensive care nurse.

We now work together in our lovely INN with a great team behind us. Our two children Isobel and Matthew are privileged to have such an idyllic upbringing.

Hawnby is a unique special place. We have been shown immense kindness from family friends and local people as we have developed our business.

We want people to be able to have a holiday in our award winning INN, rest from the stress of everyday life, enjoy beautiful food which is created by our head chef and our team, to be looked after in a laid back professional manner and to experience an INN that is loved and cared for. Finally to enjoy the amazing scenery that we are so fortunate to live around.
